Frequently Asked Questions

Fair questions. Straight answers.

The things buyers actually ask us — answered the way we'd answer across a table.

Who is North Country Commercial Furniture?

A Potsdam, NY commercial furniture dealership founded in 2025 by three North Country natives — Alex Boak (Norwood), Bryan Parker (Canton), and Trevor Christopher (Watertown). We represent forty-two manufacturer lines and serve schools, healthcare, offices, hospitality, and government across the region.

You're a new company — why should I trust you with a big project?

New dealership, not new to jobsites. Alex and Bryan have owned and operated Moved in Moving, a local moving company, since 2020 — and for years, out-of-area furniture dealers hired that crew to unload their trucks and run their installs in our region. We've handled the furniture; now we sell it too, with the local accountability those dealers couldn't offer.

Do you do your own delivery and installation?

Yes — our own crew, our own trucks, never subcontracted. Installs are phased around your occupancy: after-hours, summer windows, around patient census, around parent nights.

What happens if furniture arrives damaged?

We inspect every piece as it comes off the truck — because we're the ones unloading it. If something's damaged, you jump to the top of the claim list: we document it, file it with the manufacturer, and chase it until it's resolved. You never call an 800 number.

Can you quote in bid format for schools and municipalities?

Yes. Quotes itemized by manufacturer, model, finish, and lead time, with approved-equal language where required. We're fluent in BOCES purchasing and quote NY OGS state-contract pricing where available through our manufacturer lines.

What brands do you carry?

Forty-two manufacturer lines including JSI, AIS, Boss Design, Palmer Hamilton, Paragon, MTS Seating, Sedia, SurfaceWorks, Great Openings, LifeFlo, and Akouo — see the full roster on our Brands page.

What area do you serve?

Our core territory runs Potsdam · Canton · Massena · Watertown · Gouverneur · Tupper Lake · Lake Placid · Plattsburgh — and everywhere between. For the right project, we travel.

What are your lead times?

They vary by manufacturer and are posted on every quote — typically several weeks for standard product. Back-orders are disclosed before you commit, never discovered at delivery.

What are your payment terms?

Purchase order accepted as deposit. Net 30 standard. Closeout documentation provided for board minutes and audit files.

Do you have a showroom?

We bring the showroom to you — a thirty-minute walk-through at your building, with samples and finish boards brought to your space. Furniture decisions are better made in the room the furniture will live in.
