Forty-two manufacturer lines. Nine verticals. One North Country dealer.
A Letter From Ownership
A K-12 superintendent and a hospital facilities director don't buy the same way.
The superintendent has BOCES, a bond cycle, and a board meeting next Tuesday. The hospital director has census, an after-hours window, and a chief financial officer who reads every line. Both call us — for the same reason. We hold direct relationships across forty-two manufacturer lines, and we run the install crew out of Canton ourselves.
When we started North Country Commercial Furniture, we set out to be the kind of partner most of our customers had been quietly looking for: one who could see a project across an entire campus or facility, who could be reached on a Tuesday morning, and who would still be standing behind the install three years after the punch-list closed. That's the standard we operate by — and the standard this catalog reflects.
Inside you'll find the verticals we serve, the brands behind them, the way we organize a project, the funding pathways we navigate, and the project record we've built across the North Country. Pick the section that matters to you. Or pick up the phone — that's how most of our best work starts.
We're glad you're considering us.

Our Story
A North Country dealer built for the long project.
North Country Commercial Furniture was founded on a simple idea — that schools, hospitals, hotels, and offices in our region deserve the same quality, service, and accountability the architects in Buffalo or Albany take for granted. We're based in Potsdam, NY, and we serve an eight-town footprint across the North Country.
What started as a one-truck operation has grown into a full-service commercial dealership representing forty-two manufacturer lines. Each one carefully picked — vetted for warranty terms, durability spec, install support, and the kind of long-term relationship that lets us pick up the phone when something goes wrong.
Our work spans every vertical — K-12 districts running summer install windows, hospitals coordinating around census, hospitality opening for Memorial Day, corporate offices reconfiguring around hybrid work. The catalog you're holding is the result.

Why Choose a Dealer
Buying direct sounds cheaper. It rarely is.
Buying Direct From Manufacturer
One brand. One catalog. Your problem after that.
· Limited to one manufacturer's product line
· No space planning or design service
· Freight to dock — you handle the rest
· Install is your contractor's problem
· Warranty claim filed through 1-800 queue
· No bid-format quotes for procurement
· No coordination across multiple rooms
· Multiple POs for multi-brand projects
· Lead times posted; no advocacy on backorder
· No local accountability when things go wrong
Partnering With NCCF

· Our Canton install crew. Owner-operated.
· Warranty filed by us. Replacement parts in 3 days.
· BOCES + NY OGS bid-format quotes drafted

· Local. We walk the punch-list at midnight if we have to.

Education · K-12 + Higher Ed

"Twenty-one room types. One install window. One PO."
Space Challenge
Districts run twenty-one different room types — and every one has its own buying cycle, durability spec, and warranty expectation. The dealer who's only thinking about desks misses the rest of the building.
Design Considerations
Summer Window: Only 8-10 weeks between dismissal and back-to-school
Capacity Math: Square footage drives chair count, not the other way around
Tech Integration: Smart boards, charging, devices change the layout
BOCES Compliance: Bid-format quotes and approved-equal language
Lifecycle Spec: Districts buy on 10-year warranty math
Recommended Solutions
Mobile-First: Active learning needs casters, nesting, flip-tops
Acoustic: Hard floors and open ceilings require absorption design
"Bleach-cleanable. CAL 133. After-hours install around census."
Space Challenge
Healthcare environments demand a different durability spec — infection control, fluid resistance, CAL 133 compliance, and after-hours install windows around census and shift changes. The patient room is the smallest room in a hospital and the most expensive one to specify wrong.
Modern offices ask one floor to host eight functions — heads-down work, collaboration, executive, café, reception, conference, training, phone booths. The brand that ties them together is the finish family.
Design Considerations
Hybrid Math: Desks for 60% on the worst day, 100% on the best
Sit-Stand: Standard, not premium. Default 50% of every floor
Acoustic: Open ceilings need absorption design
Phone Booth Density: Two booths per twenty seats minimum
Reception: First-look brand impression for clients
Recommended Solutions
AIS Calibrate: Panel + bench, sit-stand, finish family
Boss Lounge: Reception and executive moments
JSI Conference: Mid-spec hospitality discipline
Akouo Panels: Ceiling baffles + clouds
Zonez: Focus booths and concentration suites
Featured Products
AIS · Boss · JSI · Akouo · Zonez · Allseating
Hospitality + Acoustic
Banquet to ballroom. Restaurant to lounge.
"Order in February. Open by Memorial Day."
Space Challenge
Hospitality environments are about throughput and presentation in equal measure. Banquet capacity, mobile booth rooms, restaurant chair durability, outdoor dining weather rating — every spec line affects either guest experience or operating cost.
Design Considerations
Throughput: Mobile folding for room flips between functions
The cheapest dealer isn't the one with the lowest line items — it's the one who knows how to get your project funded across the right buckets.

Furniture Planning Checklist
Ten questionsbefore you order.
We work through this list with you in the first discovery call. It surfaces the constraints and goals that drive the spec — and prevents the change orders that show up on day three of installation.
How many students will use this space at peak?
Drives seat count, traffic flow, storage volume.
Is this space used by one class, or shared across periods?
Shared spaces need mobile furniture and rapid reconfig.
What's the technology layout? (Smart board, projector, devices)
Sight-lines, cord management, charging access.
Are there acoustic concerns? (Open ceiling, hard floors, high ceiling)
Calls for absorption panels, soft surfaces, baffles.
Does this space need to flex between configurations?
Mobile tables, nesting chairs, stack carts, casters.
Who installs — your maintenance team, or our crew?
Is the space ADA-accessible? Adjustable heights required?
Sit-stand, ADA tables, accessible reach ranges.
Did You Consider
You said you needed desks. What about everything around them?
I. STORAGE
Mobile Storage Carts
Where the supplies, devices, and craft kits live when the desks roll into a new configuration.
II. POWER
Charging Stations
Twenty-four devices per classroom now standard. Built-in power saves a thousand cord trips a year.
III. ACOUSTIC
Sound Panels
Hard floors, exposed ceiling, glass walls — three sound problems built into modern design. Camira and Akouo solve all three.
IV. SOFT SEATING
Reading & Collaboration Pods
The corner of the room that turns a classroom into a learning environment. Teachers ask for this.
V. WRITABLE
Writable Surfaces
Walls, tables, partitions. Active learning moves the writing surface to wherever the thinking is happening.
VI. WAYFINDING
Signage & Branding
Wall graphics, door numbers, dimensional signage that tie the space to the school's identity.
VII. CORD MGMT
Cable Trays & Raceways
The difference between an active-learning classroom and a tangled fire hazard.
VIII. ACCESSORIES
Hooks, Bins, Wall Files
The small stuff that disappears the year-three clutter. Spec'd at the same time as the big stuff.
IX. ART
Stack Chairs & Stools
Art rooms, science labs, music rooms — different seat from the standard classroom chair.
